Well....it happened again.  A whole year has slipped through the cracks, and someone (Rueben!) forgot to set the news section on "auto-pilot".  So I'll take a stab at bringing you all up to date.  The last year has been spent gigging, recording, and getting up to warp speed with the current line-up of semi-pro's.  It's been a real blast playing with such talented musicians.  If you've never seen us live, or it's been awhile, you owe it to yourself to come see the Rock Show!

I'm not one to blow my own horn, (or anyone else's, contrary to what our manager might have you believe) but....we have had some great shows this year.  Some of the "off the cuff recordings" have been excellent, and we keep on improving.

We hope to have our second CD done by the end of the year, and some of you have heard a few of the new tunes, and there are more in the wings!

Come out and see us at Inn Kahoots in Hamel June 6th and 7th.  What better opportunity to get up close and personal with the rock star friends you always said you knew!  Maybe impress your friends with a quick little peck on the cheek of the BASS PLAYER?

See you at the Rock Show!

Since the boys are all sequestered away writing music for our next CD, I figured I'd hack on to the website here and give you all a different picture of what it's like to be around a rock band.  You see, I manage these grown-up adolescents, and a lot of people ask me questions about what it's like to manage a band in this glitzy world of rock and roll.  So I'm gonna do my best to give you some honest answers to your questions.  You may be surprised at some of the answers, or even mildly appalled, but none the less, here goes.  (And remember, they can't get mad, I write the checks)

Does it take a lot of time?  Not really.  A few hours a week.

What do you do?  Officially I handle all the bookings, all the contracts, and the finances.  I deal with the lawyers when needed, and the accountants.  Unofficially, I help with sound-checks when I'm around, play a very mediocre guitar on stage with the band now and again, give my un-solicited advice on cover song selections, bitch about the cover song selections when I think they suck,  try to (unsuccessfully I might add) direct the band in which musical direction it should go, bitch about what direction the band is going when they don't listen to me, and finally, coddle them and tell them how great they are.

Why do you do it?  The money.  I make a ton of dough doing this.  I'm surprised everybody isn't managing bands.  Oh, that's right, I said I would be honest in my answers.  Let's start over.  I love music, and I never had the time to learn how to play the guitar properly.  I guess in some strange and twisted manner, I'm vicariously in a band by managing one.  I also love Mike and Travis.  They are like brothers to me.  I'm sure I'll feel the same way about Tom Dainsberg and Tom Lutz, I just haven't known them that long.

Are you  good at it?  Reasonably I guess.  The guys in the band tell me I am, so we'll go with that.  Like anything you do, do it honestly and with integrity, and it will generally work out.

What do you like about it?  It's like having your own personal rock band, playing the kind of music I love, coming from guys that are about as good as it comes:  As human beings and as musicians.  I still get excited every time Travis sails off a great solo or when Mike gets the crowd whipped up with his flair for the dramatic.  Nothing like it.

What don't you like about it?  Nothing really.  Just a few what I call pet peeves.  For example, Mike is forgetful and loses everything.  It's his charm I guess.  I also get peeved at long breaks between songs, and sound guys that are deaf and don't understand the strengths of the band.  We're not Metallica, we don't want the bass at 11. Oh, and one more thing;  Tainted Love, Mustang Sally, and Brown Eyed Girl.  If I never hear them again, I'll be fine.

Where'd you get the name Rueben?  Bill Mann, our original bass player tabbed me with that.  Comes from Rueben Kincaid, who was the manager of the Partridge Family.

Are you happy with where the band is now?  Yes and no.  I like the lineup, the enthusiasm, the dedication, the professionalism, and the comittment.  I like what they can do live, and the way they can get a crowd going.  I don't think we've captured the true capabilities of this band in recordings.  This band is all about guitars and great vocals and excitement.  There's a lot of good songs that are in Travis and Mike's souls that will capture what this band is all about.  We just haven't recorded them yet.

Would you manage our band? Only if you are U2 and Paul McGuiness is stepping down.  It's the only other job I'd take.  And I'm not qualified.  I only do things with people I like.  I like the guys in Red Dot a lot.

When are you going to give it up?  When they do I guess.  Haven't thought about it.  Tried to quit a few years ago for other reasons, but Mike and Travis wouldn't let me.  Guess I'm in it for awhile.

It seems like such a fun business, is it?  When the guys are playing, you bet. It's their passion, and they are passionate about it.  But in reality, the music business sucks.  Bands don't make enough money for the entertainment they provide.  Radio is a joke.  A band has no shot of getting on the radio anymore.  If you aren't a cookie-cutter band like Nickelback, Hinder, All-American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, etc., forget it.  What was wrong with payola?  At least you had a chance to get your music played.  Let the people decide what they like and don't like.  Want to know why the music industry is going to hell in a handbasket?  Listen to the radio.  Who is gonna buy that shit?

Would you do it again?  In a second.  I'd of just been more forceful in my opinions.  I've got my own band and 4 great guys in it.  Who wouldn't?

Well, that's all for now.  And if you're reading this, don't tell the guys in the band.  It'll be our little secret.  They never look at this page anyway.  Oh, and by the way, come see the boys June 2 at Billy's in Rockford, June 8 & 9 up at Primetime at Breezy Point, or June 15 at Dailey's Pub in Mound.  Tell them Rueben sent ya....

I'm happy to tell you that Red Dot Garage is back on track and ready to roll for this summer's unofficial "Drink Up the Midwest" tour.  We've got a couple of shows under our belt with new drummer Tommy Lutz, and we've never felt better.  The band has been quite busy getting Tom up to speed with our song list, our drinking habits, and our eccentric personalities.  We have spent some long nights in Dainsberg's garage smoking, drinking, jaw-jacking, and learning a few new tunes.  I'm also happy to tell you we will be adding some new originals to our set list...a new CD in the future?  So as you can see, things are going great and there are some really cool gigs in the near future we'd love to see you at.  Including....April 20 @ the Medina Ballroom, May 4th @ The Loretto Sports Bar, which is a great place to see a relaxed band play anything you request and more.  May 5th @ Dailey's Pub in Mound for Cinco de Mayo.  Possibly my favorite holiday, this will be an amazing party, bring your sombrero!  MoonDance Jam on July 12 in Walker, a long weekend of classic rock outdoors.  As Mean Gene would say, "Ya don't wanna miss it!"  Start making your reservations.  Thanks for reading.

March 16, 2007

Ahhhhh, the life of a rock band.  Just when you think you've got it down, and everything's rolling along smoothly. you get hit with a Les Paul in the face.  First, the bad news.  Dave DeGennaro, the quintessential drummer extraordinaire has left the band.  Yep, it's true.  Our resident rhythm maker has moved on to a life out of music.  He's gonna make a go of it in the business world (eee-gads) and is going to leave the glamorous life of stale beer, the loading  and unloading, the rehearsals, the cheap hotel rooms, and the underpaid gigs behind.  What the hell is he thinking?  Anyway, we obviously wish him the best and the greatest, because without Dave, there would have been no Red Dot.  It's that simple.  No one out there who listens in front of the stage knows how easy Dave made it for those who are on it.  We'll miss him, and he knows it.

The good news?  We have a new drummer!  Well, not exactly new.  We've known him for awhile, and not only can he play the traps quite well, but he is a great guy too!  His name is Tommy Lutz and hails from the thriving metropolis of Maple Plain.  Fresh off a gig with Tokyo Love Cash, (that's right, read it again) we're happy and grateful to have him join The Dot!  He brings a load of talent, and a great attitude to what we're doing, and we promise, you'll love him as well.  Tommy's first shows will be on March 23rd at the Loretto Sports Grill and on March 30th at Dailey's Pub in Mound.  What are you waiting for?  Put em both on your calendar and come on out and meet Tommy and the boys for a night of rocking!

You'll also want to check our schedule out here on the website on a regular basis cause we're booking fast and furious right now.  It didn't take the world long to hear about Lutzy's arrival and the phone has been ringing off the hook.  Of a special note, you may want to buy yourself a ticket to Moondance Jam up in Walker July11-14 for the biggest rock extravaganza in the midwest.  Def Leppard, Loverboy, Smashmouth, Sly and the Family Stone, The Cars and Red Dot Garage!  Yep, that's right.  All the aforementioned bands will have the opportunity to rub elbows with The Dot and become richer for it.  We basically look at it as being an impromptu audition.  These bands can fight it out to see which one will be the opening act for us when we go on a nationwide tour supporting our new CD.  Stay tuned.  Oh, and by the by, we have also just finished a new gig poster featuring the Tom's that you'll see in bars, the City Pages, the Star-Trib, etc.  very shortly.  Want to know something else that we haven't covered?  E-mail us at info@reddotgarage.com.  We always reply.  You may not like the answer, but we always reply.  Til later......

Keep on the rock!

The Dot

November 3, 2006

Playing in a band is a unique experience.  We, of the seminal Red Dot Garage, often compare it to being in a 4-way marriage without the sex. (with each other, that is...the ladies, of course, looooooove the Dot, my fa-shizzles!!!)

Like a marriage, a lot of emotion, work, and time go into band life.  We laugh, we cry, (mainly Mike) we argue, we make merry, we complain, (mainly Dave) we party, we compete, we drift, and we bond.  We have our moods, our buttons, our quirks, our foibles, our idiosyncrasies, our hot spots, our peeves, and even our freakin cycles it seems. (Midol anyone?)

For RDG, and in the best sense of the phrase, "the honeymoon is over".  We're all very happy together, but we're under no illusions about our mates.  Where we used to all be on our best behavior, always with the manners and the wooing and the Sunday's best, we now fart in bed, we scratch ourselves shamelessly, we've stopped shaving our legs, and we kissed foreplay goodbye months ago;  it's straight to the rocking for us now.  Wham, bam, thank you ma'am.

Other younger, fresher, less-hairy bands are out there, but we've got a good thing going.  To paraphrase Rupert Holmes, we've discovered that yes; we all do like pina colada's and getting caught in the rain.  To paraphrase Huey Lewis, we're happy to be stuck with us.

But no band is an island, my friends.  Over the years, through our musical journey throughout the vast western metro, we've had help.  An ace in the hole, so to speak....

Musicians are notoriously flaky about a lot of things, and finances are one of the biggest.  But the Dot doesn't fear the tax collector, the collection agencies, or the Reaper, for that matter.  For this, credit goes to our manager, Kevin. (aka K-Oz)  He is our mighty band manager/financial guru.  In addition to keeping the band in the black, he schedules us, advises us, kicks us in the ass, and often buys us drinks.  If he were single and this was Massachusetts, we'd marry the big lug.

Kevin is truly the wind beneath our wings, the Skipper to our Gilligan, the Rueben to our Danny, the Mel to our Alice, the leather to our lace.  He's the slightly detached platonic friend that listens in quiet desperation to four musicians' needs, availability, desires, and conflicts, and somehow manages to stealthily work out an agreeable compromise to all parties.  He's the George Martin to our Beatles, the Bernie to our Elton, the Tony Orlando to our Dawn. (because we're so pretty)

Come check us out at our next few shows.  Shows that were booked by the aforementioned K-Oz.  We'll be at Wytt's End in Waconia on Saturday, November 4th, Travis and Mike will be playing acoustic at the Wayzata Bar and Grill on Saturday, November 11th, we'll all play a righteous rock show at the Loretto Sports Bar and Grill on Friday, November 17th, and on Wednesday, November 22nd, (the night before Thanksgiving!) we're playing at Dailey's Pub in Mound.  Make sure you check out the schedule page here on the website for more information and upcoming shows.  Kevin just updated it.  www.reddotgarage.com/schedule.html

Ciao for now......

September 18, 2006

For those of you who know us, it comes as no surprise that we like to indulge in a bit o' the drink during our shows or while hanging out.  A beer here, a Jagermeister there, a hit o' yer finest E & J on the rocks, loov!!!  Though not legendary boozehounds like Keith Richards, Ernest Hemingway, or Mel Gibson, we boys can hold our own during performances/practices/hob-nobbing.  So, (though excited about the gig) we were a tad anxious when we were told that not only would there be no alcohol sold at the "Best of the U.S. Triathalon" show we were to play on September 15th, but booze consumption of any kind was strictly verboten in the public park even if we brought it ourselves......*shiver*

This raised two pointed questions for us:

1.  Would our ROCKING sound as good to dry ears as to our soused ones?

2.  Do we even freakin' like each other when we're sober?

Thankfully, the answer to both questions was "Oh yah, uh-huh, shure."  The show went swimmingly despite forecasts of rain and the four of us on the wagon for the evening.  Thank you to Marnie and the athletes for having us.  And thank you to the Maui Waui for the delish juice that kept us chugging.  The four of us happily slurped our healthy frozen fruit smoothies out of big, beautiful, purple, plastic cups....the gods of rock understood.

And mad props to all the athletes who swam, biked, and ran the distance(s).  We would've joined you, but we forgot our Water Wings.  Next time, we swear.

In the meantime, join us at the Loretto Sports Bar and Grill on Friday, September 22nd from 9-1 a.m., and/or at Wytt's End in Waconia on Saturday, September 23rd from 8:30-12:30 for an all-acoustic show

Liquor consumption IS permitted at both venues, though you'll notice a conspicuous lack of big, beautiful, purple, plastic cups.  Bring up that fact to Tony at the Loretto Sports Bar and Grill or TIna at Wytt's End, and they'll cheerily suggest a nipple for your frosty mug.  We've yet to see said nipples materialize.

Fourteen months?!?!

It's been that long since we added a new "news" item to our website?!?!  Shame on us!  We'll be needing spankings right quick.  Then naps....

Thank you for sticking with us through our "Communication Breakdown".  It's been a busy and eventful year and two months for us.  Some highlights:

1.  Numero Uno:  Tom Dainsberg has joined the band on bass guitar!!! Though we were sad to see Bill Mann leave, we're absolutely thrilled to have Tom (answers also to "Bear" and "tomMEEE"  The longer the "MEEEE", the better) bringin' da noise and bringin' da funk.  We were a little shocked and very happy to realize during our annual Breezy Point show on the weekend of August 11 and 12, that Tom played his first show with us the same weekend a year ago.  Time flies when your having fun, as do Tom's fingers on the 5 string.  Please welcome Tom to the band if you haven't already.  He looks just like Travis, (seriously) and the two of them make rocking, brotherly bookends to Mike's "golden god" man in the middle.  Tom's doppelganger status is especially enjoyable for him when he's approached at the urinal during set breaks and told "Dude, I loved your last guitar solo". Ahhh, who are we kidding:  Tom enjoys being approached at the urinal even when you don't say anything at all.

2.  The creative juices have been flowing like the Mighty Miss, so thank god for Costco Wet Naps.  We're currently refining and arranging a dozen or so new songs for the next album.  The first album was a great experience and we learned a lot from it, so we're looking forward to getting back to the studio to apply said knowledge.  No set date yet, but we're thinking it'll be out by September '07.  Watch for further updates.

3.  We're selling out.  It has recently been brought to our attention that it is perfectly acceptable to market and merchandise the hell out of yourself/your band for some scratch, some dough, some greenbacks, some benjamins.  That said, be on the lookout for Red Dot Garage t-shirts, visors, key chains, stickers, iron-ons, annoying rubber bracelets, cell phone cozies, and socks.  And CD's are, of course, a must-have for any household West of Highway 100.

Our next public show will be at The Best of the U.S. Triathalon on September 15 and 16 at Excelsior Beach.  Please come down to party with us and cheer on the competitors, and be gentle when comparing their physiques to ours.  We're playing from 4-9:00 p.m. on Friday night and noon-3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.  See ya there!

June 9, 2005

Hello Red Dot Nation!  It's June and it's time to go electric!  The last couple of months we've being doing things a little bit differently, especially for us.  We've been playing a bunch of acoustic shows in and around the metro area, honing our chops and working on some new songs for our next CD.  It's been fun, but it's time to plug in again.  We are gonna cut loose at the outdoor festival in Long Lake on Saturday night, June 25.  We  are opening for Daisy Dillman and we'll be playing from 6-9:00 p.m. down by the lake.  The great thing about this show is you can bring out the whole family.  Grab a blanket, plant yourself down by the beach and hear some great rock and roll.  There are food and beverage vendors spread throughout and even a playground for the young-ins.  We have another outdoor show out in Mound on Saturday, July 16th that you won't want to miss either.  We are the headliners for that show and will be going on around 8:30 p.m.  Tim Mahoney's band is playing the night before so you can catch some great music all weekend long.  For all you up-Northers, we'll be making the trek up to Breezy Point August 5 & 6 to play at Primetime.  These are historically epic gigs that if you make it, you won't regret it!  We are not afraid to wail away into the wee hours of the morning (hey, we're on vacation too!) so put on your party hat and come on up.  It's only 2 hours away and Breezy is a great summertime destination.  Golfing, boating, fishing, drinking, rocking,  who could ask for more?  Continue to check our schedule out here on the website cause we're adding new shows all the time.  Also, if your not on our e-mail list, shoot us your e-mail address and we'll include you in all the last minute and important fodder that goes on in a rock band!  Thanks for your support and see you at the rock show!

March 30, 2005

Greetings from the west side.  It's time for spring and we're ready.  It's time to get back outside and get ready to rock!  We're already booked to play some outdoor shows this summer including Long Lake and Mound.  If your interested in having us play your summer party, give us a call or shoot us an e-mail.  We love to play outside!  In the meantime we've got a show on April 2nd at Bogart's Place in Apple Valley and the on the 21st at Champp's in Burnsville.  We then come back to the western suburbs for a show on May 5th at Champp's in Maple Grove.  Our CD is selling well at shows but if you haven't got one yet, you can order it online from the link on our home page.  In the recent past we played a great show at O'Gara's in St. Paul on March 4th and had a fun St. Patrick's Day at Bennigan's in St. Louis Park.  Travis also played in a Leash reunion show out in Delano and rocked the crowd with some old favorites.  (Can a Beer Police reunion be far behind?)  Anyway, thanks for your support and keeping it real.  Peace out.

February 2, 2005

Wow, has it really been that long?  You'd think we'd be a little nicer.  We don't call, we don't write, you'd think we were Aerosmith or something.  We humbly apologize for our lack of attentiveness to the Red Dot Nation over the last month and a half.  We'd like to tell you we've been really busy recording or something, but that would be stretching it a bit.  What we have been doing is playing a few shows and getting ready for a few more.  Breezy Point was great (especially Saturday!) and the Snowball Open at the Rooster was a blast.  Next up on the agenda is Floyd's in Victoria on Feb. 4th and then it's off to play the halftime show at the Super Bowl.   We'll also be playing before the Daytona 500 in the infield and then it's off to the Grammy's.  Travis is absolutely beside himself as this will be his first trip to the red carpet and he is nervous about impressing Joan Rivers.  Cowboy hat or baseball hat?  Tune in to see the spectacle.   We're seated at a table with Justin Timberlake and Ashlee Simpson so hopefully we'll get some good t.v. time.  Mike has already bought an autograph book and is looking forward to seeing his idol Usher for the first time.  We don't expect to win Best New Artist but stranger things have happened.  On our way back from the City of Angels we are gonna swing thru Rochester and play Rookies Sports Bar on February 26th, hopefully with some hardware in tow!  Peace out!

December 21, 2004

Happy Holidays Red Dot Nation!  We're just a few days away from Christmas and we're trying to get our gift buying accomplished.  Thank God for the internet.  We're off until December 30th when we are at Champp's in Maple Grove.  That should be a great show seeing how most people have Friday the 31st off from work.  We promise to do our best to get your weekend started.  We are bringing in an expanded sound system for that show (the same one Tim Mahoney's band uses) so we will be able to thoroughly rock you all.  The weekend after that we are going to be up at Primetime in Breezy Point for the Ice Fest.  We've played that the last few years and it is a riot.  If you can make it up, it'll be worth it.  Tons of stuff going on during the day, and a party every night.  Our new CD is now available on line at www.cdbaby.com.  If you haven't been able to purchase one at one of our shows, you can go to cdbaby and just plug in Red Dot Garage into the search area.  We'll pop right up.  The CD has only been available for a few days but it is interesting to see that people as far away as Belgium want one.  IF you have XM radio, you can tune into channel 52, also known as the Unsigned channel to hear us worldwide!  We are going to have to change our fan base moniker from Red Dot Nation to Red Dot interNational.  We appreciate every one of you for your support during the past 2 years.  Have a great and safe holiday season and we'll see you on the 30th at Champp's in Maple Grove.

Mike, Travis, Bill, & Dave

November 23, 2004

2 days before Thanksgiving and we're taking a well deserved break.  Our next gig is on Thursday,  December 2nd at Champps in Maple Grove so we've got some time to recharge the batteries after the big CD release party.  Thanks to all of the Red Dot Nation for coming out in force!  A special thanks to all of you who volunteered their services that night.  Andrew, Tigger, Lori, Deb, Michelle, Lisa, Robin, Jody, Mel, Mark Z., we couldn't have done it without you!  Hopefully your all enjoying the new CD.  The management at EPIC was as pleased as we were and have invited us back.  Check our schedule tab here on the website to see dates.  December is a busy month for us with a lot of bar gigs and private parties so this break (from each other mostly) is well timed.  We're excited about the Champps shows in December so come on out to a great bar and enjoy an evening with us.  As always, if you have any comments, requests, etc. you can e-mail us directly from the homepage.  The Dot would like to wish all of you and yours a safe and happy Thanksgiving.  See you on the 2nd at Champps and remember this:  You can still rock in America!

November 5, 2004

What's new you ask?  Well, we'll tell ya.  First, we're rehearsing like crazy for the CD release show at EPIC in Eden Prairie on Wednesday, November 17th.  We're gonna not only play the originals, but some new cover songs too.  If you have any songs in particular you want to hear that night, e-mail us and we'll try to accommodate.  We also have a few surprises up our sleeves that we're sure will leave you gasping for breath.    We're at Dailey's in Mound on Saturday night (November 6th) so come on out.  It would be worth the effort just to get a glimpse of Travis' new haircut.  We also just added 2 shows during December at the Champps in Maple Grove.  Check the schedule for dates and times.  For all you folks who are gonna need a break after the holidays, pack up some friends and head for Breezy Point for the big ICEFEST up there on January 7 & 8.  We'll warm ya up!  Dave and Diane North along with everybody up at Primetime would love to see as many as possible come up.  It always promises to be a good time.  Til next time.....

October 29, 2004

It's confirmed.  We will be playing our CD release show on Wednesday, November 17th at the EPIC bar and restaurant in Eden Prairie.  It just recently opened and features a huge bar.  We will be the first band to play there so we are gonna put on a hell of a show.   The CD will be for sale that night so buy 12 copies to give to your friends and family for Christmas presents.  Remember, we are a hard luck struggling rock band just trying to keep our heads above water.  By the way, thanks to all the new friends we made playing at the Metrodome last Sunday.  That was a blast!  Special thanks to Chad Whittaker of the Tim Mahoney band who played keyboards.  Your a gem!  Thanks also to EPIC for having faith and taking a chance...you won't regret it.  See you at the rock show.....

October 22, 2004

And the band plays on....2 dates have been added this month on short notice.  This Sunday, the 24th, we'll be playing on the Plaza outside the Metrodome before the Vikings-Tennessee game.  We're slated to play from 9:30-noon, so if your going to the game or just want to check us out, stop by.  We've also added a Halloween show at the Boonedocks out in Buffalo.  They had a band fall through so being the nice upstanding citizens that we are, we will diligently fill in and rock some people.  That's Saturday the 30th, and we'll kick off at 9:00  Also don't forget about Saturday, November 6th at Dailey's in Mound.  That's a 9:00 p.m. start too.  In regards to the new CD, we just picked up the final mastered product from Greg Reierson at Rare Form and it is already in the hands of our manufacturer in New Joisey.  We should have our 1 million copies back by the 10th of November.  I'll be telling ya where the CD release show is gonna be real soon, but plan on being somewhere on Saturday, November 20th.  Finally, if you've got nothin going on Wednesday, October 27th, go to First Avenue and check out the Drive-By Truckers.  Those guys know how to rock.  They'll make you wish you were from Alabama too.  Chow for now.....

October 11, 2004

Welcome to the rock and roll circus.  I'll try and bring y'all up to speed on where we're at.  First off, we're finally done recording our debut.  We started in January and have 12 songs ready to go for the new CD. It's still untitled, but at least the music's in the can.  It's being mastered as we speak by some technophile at Rare Form Records who knows a lot more about that stuff than we do.  Bill's is about done with the artwork and  we are all pleased with the 8 page pull-out that will come with the CD.  We expect to have a CD Release Party at the end of November or the beginning of December.  We'll keep you apprised.   We are also rehearsing our new show that we will be unveiling at the same time the CD comes out.  You'll not only be hearing all of our originals, but a revamped live show with lots of new cover songs.  We're playing one show this month at The Boondocks in Buffalo on Saturday, the 16th at 9:00 p.m..  We then play again at Dailey's Pub in Mound on November 6th.  Check the schedule portion of the website to stay up to the minute.  in the meantime, if your looking for some cool bands to check out, we'll give ya two great idea's.  On Friday, October 15th, the extremely cool Canadian band, The Tragically Hip will be taking the stage at 8:15 p.m. at The Quest.  Also, on Wednesday, October 27th Alabama's The Drive-By-Truckers are playing at 1st Avenue.  You won't regret going to either one, that much is certain.  Don't forget to e-mail us and let us know what your thinking.  Song requests, criticisms, private party info, whatever.  We promise we'll get back to ya.  Til later on.....
